Steel and glass sculpture, wall mounted and freestanding. Sculptural and functional kiln-formed glass. Innovative use of recycled materials.
Mainly steel sculptures suitable for home or garden.
Graphic and abstract photographic images with an emphasis on texture. Familiar things, from a different point of view. Some paintings.
Abstract sculpture. Predominant material is steel, but also copper, latex, plaster and employing knitting and crochet.
Contemporary jewellery. Bespoke pieces in gold and silver with precious and semi precious stones.
Individual contemporary sculptural ceramics. Thrown and manipulated or handbuilt. Low fired naked Raku and smoked methods used. Commissions welcome.

I create abstract oil paintings which are inspired by the close examination of natural forms, especially rocks and minerals.
Abstract paintings influenced by atmospheric and seasonal qualities of nature, natural forms and landscape. Chunky canvas used.
Some book works and new relief prints, a development of the "masiphumelele House" series. Strong form and colour.
Serendipity and extensive experimentation are integral and important components of Jo's abstract work. She implements random generation and self-imposed restrictions.
Variety of subjects and media as experience grows. An exciting journey of discovery. Come and view.
