The Henderson Hub - Abbots Langley.

An exciting community-led arts project based in the heart of Abbots Langley. It includes a newly created exhibition space and by September there will be a foyer lounge and coffee area. The venue has a great location in the middle of Abbots Langley High Street and for our recent exhibition by local artists we had over 700 visitors over a 2 week period. We are now looking ahead to Open Studios and would like to invite artists to apply to be part of a group exhibition. Unfortunately we are not able to display 3d work.

Kingsbury Barn in St Albans

The owners of Kingsbury Barn in St Albans has offered the use of the barn for Open Studios.  This splendid barn could hold perhaps around 10 artists who might be interested in forming a group for Open Studios and take advantage of our OS group pricing.

You don't have to live in St Albans to take up this offer.

While the barn owners are not specifically asking for payment to use the barn, a donation of £25 per artist to the owners chosen charity (the Samaritans) has been suggested, with perhaps a 15% selling commission fee that would also go to the Samaritans. The barn lends itself to generous space for individual artists, plus the opportunity for a launch event and other marketing opportunities.

The proposal is to set up during the week, from 20th September, and be open to visitors for the final 2 weekends of Open Studios – 23rd/24th September, 30th September/1st October.

If you would like to be part of this fabulous opportunity to use Kingsbury Barn for Open Studios, please get in touch with Ken Haslar as soon as possible.  Ken has kindly offered to be the lead artist and coordinate the event and his email address is ken@kenhaslar.co.uk.  Please register your interest by emailing him and he will set up a time you can visit the barn which is in St Michael's Street.
