Miriam Fraser

I have recently trained in Fine Art. My inspiration is the history of women's craft. I paint with mixed media, and also work with traditional textiles, including found materials. I use these symbolically; and in unexpected combinations to emphasise their significance. I use techniques which replicate the original craft, and are reminiscent of the excavation processes which have unearthed them.
