Gimara Duncan
Gimara is an artist, photographer & art educator. Gimara currently teaches 'Drawing and Painting Techniques' as part of the Derbyshire County Council's Adult Community Education programme.She is a also specialist in scientific imagery. Her specialist photographic skills for scientific imaging include: Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Biological Transmission Electron Microscopy (BTEM) & Confocal/Optical Microscopy.
In addition, Gimara has worked in radio and as a scientist. She has worked as an academic scientist across a number of different fields from researching trees in the Australian 'outback'' to skull abnormalities in London (Kings College London with funding from the Wellcome Trust). She was mentored in fine art by Stan' Peter Stayner (a graduate from the Royal College of Art UK and international author). Gimara is available for commissions.
