Dyed Into Life
'Dyed into life' describes the aim of Carole's work to represent the elements through the use of shibori dyeing. These materials are then manipulated using a combination of Japanese techniques and quilting concepts such as layering to create textile pieces that evoke a sense of familiarity and intimacy for the individual. Carole's bespoke creations include Japanese kimonos/cushions, quilted books and ponchos/pashmina's. Commisions are accepted.
Fabrics are used in the making of a variety of pieces including Kimono's, cushions and quilted books.
